Ahhh, Cassiel.......
I thought I recognised your mode.
Best go see your doctor and ask him about the effects of performance enhancing drugs on the mind........rather than making wild assumptions based on ones own recreational use.

No dope, no fun. This 'clean' Tour is gonna be as 'fun' as an AA meeting. I'd never forget the first time I tried skiing stoned. I forgot about the course and went out of bounds looking for the eagle's nest. I was 50 meters from the top of the mountain and everything suddenly went cloudy and fear gripped me with a hand of stone. Oh man, I've never felt as alive. I really can't describe it. In fact, it was too much: I couldn't cope. I turned back with my tail between my legs. So I can imagine what it must be cycling the Alps with the body full of dope. Balls of steel. Those men were heroes!!! Playing with death. And if you're feeling like moralizing, just stop and think twice. Think about the health risk of mountaineers. And they do it by their own free will. Now try to do that stoned, no, better not. Crazy stuff.

I don't make wild assumptions. I know what I'm talking about. I didn't say performance enhancing drugs don't affect your mind. Sure they do. Everything does. I was talking about morality issues: one thing is to enjoy yourself and another is to **** with others.

A sports man on performance enhancing drugs beating one that is not, is the same as Ferrari running a 1000cc over size engine and beating the other manufacturers -
ITS CHEATING!!!!!

I was talking about morality issues.
From the Oxford English Dictionary:
Quote:
Definition of morality
noun (plural moralities)
[mass noun]
principles concerning the distinction between right and wrong or good and bad behaviour:
the matter boiled down to simple morality: innocent prisoners ought to be freed
[count noun] a particular system of values and principles of conduct:
a bourgeois morality
the extent to which an action is right or wrong:
the issue of the morality of the possession of nuclear weapons
Origin:
late Middle English: from Old French moralite or late Latin moralitas, from Latin moralis (see moral)

'The modern sport of doping (like auto ICE 'Bassers') need not do more than be strapped down and pumped full of nandralone, EPO, Diuretics etc in ever increasing quantities, some what in the manner of the way the 'bar' is raised in High Jump'. No longer is there the need for getting sweaty, dirty or bashed about.......... or hard work in general.
Rules:
1) Competitors must have no regard for 'Self' or 'Others'.

The winner is the one judged to have:
1) The Most fractured mind.
2) The Most stressed bodily functions.
3) The Least understanding of the definition of 'Morals' in sport.'

It gets worse:

"Disgraced cyclist Lance Armstrong allegedly bribed competitors to let him win races, according to the Australian Broadcasting Corporation. The network’s Four Corners program said Australian cyclist Phil Anderson witnessed Armstrong bribing a competitor to fix a series of races, among other allegations . . . At least 15 more cyclists have been linked to Armstrong’s banned Italian sport doctor in an intricate scheme of money laundering, tax evasion, and widespread doping. Former Giro d'Italia winners Michele Scarponi and Denis Menchov, and this year’s Olympic champion Alexandre Vinokourov, are under investigation for doping under the supervision of Dr. Michele Ferrari, Gazzetta dello Sport reported . . . The final word on Armstrong’s seven Tour de France titles could come Monday when cycling’s governing body responds to the US Anti-Doping Agency report that paints him as a longtime drug cheat."

Yeah, it's just entertainment. Cycling is just a form of reality show...

Drugstrong was taking steroids before his cancer. They are the likely cause of him getting cancer, because his type is somewhat rare in men his age.

So he caused his own cancer from doping. Then created Livestrong. Maybe it should have been called Ironicstrong.

He came back from cancer and continued to dope with the newer oxygen drugs and win the TDF. His VO2 max uptake is 82, high for sure, but not freaky enough to win the TDF, au natural.
Look at his pre-cancer Tour performances when he was using roids and stuff, which won't alter oxygen uptake. He sucked. He was a very good one day race specialist.

Buying and selling races in cycling used to be very common.

Anabolic steroid use is not a risk factor for testicular cancer. The news media are wrong.
