Used to watch scrapheap challenge. They stopped making any more, but my favourite was the monster truck one.

It was "Junkyard Wars" in the US, but sometimes you would see a "Scrapheap Challenge" banner that they forgot to blur. Somewhere along the way they kept changing the commentating team and the program went downhill and just faded away.
On another note, what happened to all the robot battle programs. I think that there were 3 or 4 programs then one day they were all gone.

Love that stuff. It was best when the brit gal (Cathy?) was on. I think she went on the produce the show after she was off camera.
Haven't see either show in years. Too bad.

We've had both do the rounds here in Aus.
Junkyard Wars is but a pale imitation. Track down the first 10 seasons of Scrapheap Challenge instead - they made an 11th this year, but with a different team, and frankly it's not much good. |

I remember Robot Wars - used to come on at 6 pm every friday. Went to see one just before it went.

Scrapheap was good in the beginning but I reckon they have run out of project idea's.
Robot wars was good , don't know why it was dropped ? |

Not sure, but in the last few series, the house robots were upgraded. One of them was 3/4 of a ton, so no-one could do much about it. At least with the old ones, they competitors could fight back.
