Today was rather bizzare in Sydney. I woke up to a reddish orange sky, by the time it was time to leave work you would never have known that the morning had been so unusual.
Attached are before and after photos taken out the window at work around 8:30AM this morning, and 5:15PM this afternoon. Not great quality as they were taken on my phone, but gives an idea as to the severity of the dust storm! Tony. |

yep but it was already very dirty... in a way it looks less dirty because it has an even layer of dust all over
being black it is hard to keep clean! They said on the news last night that it was millions of tonns of topsoil lost from the areas where the dust storm originated. That is a lot of dust!!! |

The day of the doomsday may be similar to this somehow.

I had that feeling when I awoke to an reddish orange glow coming through the gaps in the blinds!! was most eerie.
There was (and still) a lot of the red dust on the ground Peranders, but the skys have been clear since late that same afternoon Apparently we had some more on Sat, but it was gone before I got up...Tony. |
