Default News from the UK

"Report: U.K. Doctors Illegally Removed 20,000 Brains For Research "

This explains a lot.

It was the only place they could find that many without having to get in a car.

Did you see the rest of the story? Lab techs were being paid 10 per brain. I just can't rid my mind of legions of deranged Igors (played by Marty Feldman) rummaging through the "Brain Depository," accidentally smashing the jar marked "Genius," and pasting that label over the jar labelled "Homicidal maniac" or "George Bush."

Just a thought, wasn't "Coma" an American film? Adapted from the book written by one of your MDs, who presumably knew what he was talking about?

Finally, let's not take any of this seriously...

Does the scale say you've suddenly lost about 3 pounds and do you notice a difficulty in tying your shoelaces?

Michael Crichton - rather a wide ranging body of work - from Andromeda Strain to Westworld, Jurassic Park - quite a brilliant guy beyond just selling over 200M books worldwide.

Re-opening 11year old threads might be a clue.
