Actually, I had lots of 'failures' including the first HCA-2200, the PLD-2000, and the HCA-3500. They equally had my name associated with them, and they did not rate with the mags. I wonder why?

Well, you are billed by Parasound as well as others as "legendary."

Post processed water as previously discussed in the electric fence bit!

That is what most reviews produce.

Well, I am 'legendary'. Just ask around. (Of course, I am legendary for drinking and partying as much as for anything else)

I remember meeting you years ago when
the CES was in Chicago, and the 'high end'
people were in a separate hotel from the
mainstream stuff. You were sitting on
the floor in the hallway outside Mark Levinsons
room with a bottle of (IIRC?) Scotch. For sure
a legend (in my mind) was born at that moment ....

They carried me back to my hotel room that night. Ivor brought a case of first class Scotch whiskey. Went down like water.

Afaig, with a bottle of scotch, sitting is more comfortable than standing, and easier than lying down.

That issue is not online, but this is (and gives a flavor of what TAS is like these days): The Absolute Sound Guide to Vinyl Playback 2012 | AVguide

There is, as usual, little in the way of technical specifications and no measurements. The occasional attributions of what the reviewer hears and has heard to the supposed circuit details are, again as usual, controversial, and some are expressed as well-established "truths" (see for example Valin's review of the Soulution 750, on page 89).

One might say boring sophistry. A $25,000 phono whose specs could be equalled by a JFET/IC op-amp composite.
