I just installed Windows 7 which I am using right now. I may or may not use it permanently....we will see.
If anyone has simple questions about it I'll try to answer...

Hi,
Can you summarise the key features of Windows 7 over the XP Pro? Are there the key advantages of Win 7 over XP Pro? thanks. |

I have not looked into the feature differences although I have scanned various articles at times that explained the differences. I'm mostly interested in using a 64-bit OS that will be supported in the future.

Are you using the trial version that expires in a couple of months?
Any idea what it will sell for? |

There is still no price for the end users. However the big companies already know their price. I'd say it's a matter of 2-3 weeks till they announce it.

Unfortunately LTSpice does not run properly in Win 7 x64.

Never used Vista, though I heard that it disabled digital outs on soundcards (DRM).
Did I hear right? If so, is the same true for W7?

Yes, it is the trial version but seems fully functional. The Microsoft web page says that it will not expire until some time in 2010.

I don't use the digital output of my sound card so I don't know. However, the analog output seems to function just fine.
