Hello my fellow DIY/Handymen.
My small Haier AC unit seems to be acting up. It appears the cooling unit is covered in frost, which is resulting in it not actually cooling. I tried to scrape a bit away, only to discover ice. Here is a photo: ![]() Does anybody know what the issue is? Is it easily fixable? Thanks Guys! -West |

Ah yes, common on this coast too with non frost-free units.
Too much moisture in the air and/or not high enough air flow. - Make sure the filter(s) are clean. - Just turn it completely off for a couple of hours to defrost. Cheers! |
