Default DeWalt DW991 chuck removal

Anyone know how to remove the chuck on a DW991 14.4V cordless drill?

I think the gearbox ate itself while I was hanging some drywall this afternoon. I want to tear open the gear box but I can't get the chuck off. I removed the reverse-thread screw from the center of the chuck but there seems to be something else holding it on.

I'd post this at diybathroomremodel.com if there was one.

Any help would be appreciated.

It's just tight on a thread. I put a big Allen key into a chuck, tight it and then hit it with a hammer. You have to know which direction it's unscrews, but it's usually counterclockwise.
