Anyone tested Firefox 3?

Today I put Firefox 3 into my Mac. What a speed!!! diyaudio.com is loaded with a 2 Mbit line in 1.7 seconds.

Windows Vista and IE7 6.7 seconds!

Besides that, Firefox looks really Macish.

compared to the version 2 which like the ugly Windows version

The final beta version (5) should be available within the week. I'll give it a try.

Hi Per,

Are you sure, 6.7s?!

I've a 4Mb line, 1.5MHz P3, XP, IE6 and loads diyaudio in ~1s, about just as fast as FF2

It's possible that Vista is loading down a bit.

I've been using Beta Version 3.05b fro a few weeks now. Most of my favorite add-ons are not yet available (and the new version won't let you enable non-secure add-ons). But other than that it's often much faster than the old version. The Release Candidate should be available soon.

I haven't been following Firefox development as much as I probably should, but I was nicely surprised to have version 3 as the default browser in the newest Ubuntu 8.04 Linux distro. Very nice, fast and stable. Oh, and the browser is too.
