Thumbs up A simple "Thank you".....

My 5 year old daughter has a portable DVD player that she has been complaining about since the day I bought it. She uses it for car rides and she always say it isn't loud enough. I won't go into why she doesn't just wear headphones.

Anyway, I finally took the thing apart today and located the audio IC (TPA0212). I browsed through the data sheet and found how to raise the gain, simply pull pin 2(GAIN0) logic high, it was low. Pin 3(GAIN1) was already high. This maxed the gain of the chip and made the thing loud enough for her to listen to in the car. She was thrilled.

So whats the point of this? The point is I just want to thank DIYAudio and all the people here for the things I have learned since joining. Two or three years ago I wouldn't have even attempted to take that DVD player apart. I would have been completely lost. So even though it might seem like a simple thing I did, I couldn't have done it without this place and the great people here.

So once again, thank you DIYAudio.
