Default mh upgrade???

I just finished my first diy ohp with a dukane 4003 ohp and a 14.1" lcd screen. I am very impressed with the results, and the rich color, however there are still a few issues that I'd like to clear up. The brightness could be better, which I plan on fixing by getting some blackout cloth. I'm considering upgrading to mh for the whiter whites, but will this hinder the warm rich color that the halogen gives me? I've read several writeups on the differences, and the lamp life, which is mainly why I'm considering it. So in short... I want better contrast, the same rich colors, and whiter whites. Let me know what you diy veterans think.
