Default Quick bit of info for those with Ushio UHI-S400DDs

I was just reading over the spec sheet for the bulbs (http://www.ushio.com/Files/UltraArc.pdf)and noticed something that I don't think has been posted on here before: that they should be mounted vertically for the longest life span. According to the sheet you can get 20000 hours if mounted vertically, and only 15000 if mounted horizontally.

Just thought I'd mention it for anyone who is about to mount theirs.

The problem is that it's VERY hard to keep the arc stable with it vertical. The arc wants to jump around and change colors.

Hmm. Didn't know that. Is there any compromise for it? Like doing it at a 45 degree angle or something?

Also do you know if it would make a difference if mounted hanging from the base (base up top) or just standing straight up (base on bottom)?
