Default Elmo 305sd solar metal halide bulb

I just bought this on ebay and it should be in in about 1 week. I'd like to buy a couple of spare bulbs before it gets here and the person I bought it off of doesn't know much about it. I've read a couple of posts about the 305sd but can't find any web page that tells me what bulb it takes. I've called 3 different bulb companies and they've never heard of it. Does anyone have one of these and could you point me at the best (and least expensive) place to get these bulbs.

Thanks

Tim

Yes - I did read - maybe its out thesre and I'm just not very good a finding it. Sorry

Well, I think I found them on eBay for $80. Its the 575gs double ended bulb, right? Anyone know where to get them cheaper than 80 bucks?

The exact part number is HMI/575W/GS and it looks like $85 is the cheapest. I've seen posts from people saying they can get them for around $50. If anyone knows of a source that cheap I would appreciate a pm.

The bulb for elmo is available for $37. It has been tested and works on the elmo. It is called HMI 575W lamp.

The bulb is cheap because it is imported from China. However, its minimum life is 400 hours. Actual/ maximum life is not known. Another link
