I am not yet ready to jump into destroying working projectors so I just bought an Elmo 305SD to get a little more light than my 3M 9200 plus MUCH LONGER bulb life out of its MH setup. My 9200 has a triplet lense while the Elmo has a 265-305mm varifocal 6 element lens. Is a 6 element lens better than a 3 element lense? Does anyone have an experience with this projector?
I found some posts that say its as bright as the sun and others that say it is only marginally better than a 3M 9800. Anyone have an experience with this projector that could give me some tips. It should be in on Thursday and I just want to know what to expect.
