Default local sources for mogul bases?

when we order the ballast and lamp, is there a good local kind of place for mogul bases for the ushio conversion lamp?

someone mentioned home depot does not have them. but does lowes, scotties, or Ace have them? or is it either an electrical supply or we have to order online?

Default Try the Yellow Pages

The very first electrical supplies store I called had them in stock for $6 each. I just drove over and picked it up. This is a very common socket because it is used for all the HPS lamps used in parking lots, security lighting, etc.

You do need to ask for the right size: "Mogul base" is a generic description of a lamp socket. Standard household light bulbs actually have a mogul base, but just a smaller size than you need.

If you want a socket for a Ushio Retrofit lamp, it is an E39.
