Default light box

Can i do this or not...Gut a atx power supply and use this case for my light box..
i have a 150watt 24v projector lamp so its quite small
PLEASE reply...
IF you want ill take some pictures of the lamp and atx if you want.

Hi ajradeon,

If it all fits I don't see why not, I'm sure I've seen others do this before.

Just a word of caution, the cap's in PSU's can hold a nasty charge for days after you've unplugged it. Be careful

actaully a large enough cap can hold enough current to kill you even after months... however, its a pretty shitty designed psu the caps do hold current, as most have bleed resistors

It will be fine, I actually used a small atx power supply case to house my 175watt MH ballast and had a fan keeping it cool. Nice and thick metal, just need to find one now about 3ft by 14" by 14" for my projector and huge 400w MH ballast. You wouldn't believe how heavy this sucker is!
