Default Crack in bulb

I have dual ended MH 250W bulb, and I just noticed that there's a crack in the middle of the outer glass that runs 1/3 around the bulb. Is this safe to use? I don't want to have a bulb explode in my setup.

I thought I remembered reading that the outside is more of a protective shell for the inside. If I am remembering correctly, does that mean that it's OK?

Nope, it means it's more likely to explode. Bin it.
