H33 ballast.....

i have a H33 ballast that i m using to power the H33GL-400/DX bulb on it .... it is the 400 W bulb but its a mercury vapor one .. so could i put a 400 W metal halide bulb on that ballast will it work ?

metal halide bulbs will not work on that MV ballast !!!!!!!
