Default EMERGENCY someone help, capacitor for ballast prob

i was just taking the capacitor and transformer + ignitor off from a metal plate which they were all held on to, and the wires came out of the capacitor. They were just kind of pushed in, not soldiered on or anything. See photo below. Anyway i then put a wire back into one of the holes and i couldnt get the damn thing out again, and ended up pulling off the white cap at the end. I now have no idea which wire goes to where for the capacitor.

When i look at the connection on the cap end that i pulled off there doesnt seem to be any +/- symbols, so does it matter which way round live (brown wire) and neutral (blue wire) connects to it?

hope someone can help.

One side shows a triangle with the letters "VOL"

the other side says "0.5-1" I think there is something after the 1, but its so small to see

I mean on the side. It this a polarised cap or not? If it isn't, the connections can be swapped.

This is a non-polarised AC cap. Don't worry about the connections, as long as you don't have them both to the same point
