The thing to remember is that a cap is a cap, it doesn't know that it is used as a ballast or a boat anchor. ..
So, AC caps can be connected any which way you want!

PS In case someone wants to ask, I prefer Spraque caps as boat anchors, they seem to damp the pitch and roll much better than Sagamo's...
