If I'm trying to build a lighter projector, what bulb and ballast would be best?
The reason I ask is be/c I impulsively bought a 150W HID ballast - Advance Metal Halide ballast. Catalog# 72c5482-np900. This ballast is a beast at 13 pounds! I bought the CDM150/T6/942 Bulbs that someone else was offering here in the forums, and the bulb specs mention the MH142. Are all ballasts for this particular bulb going to be heavy. What should I look for instead if I want something lighter? Should I just go with the standard light solutions offered on the usual projector sites mentioned all the time? |
