A lot of research is going on the anti glare removal. It's for certain that it will improve your brightness as well as the color contrast drastically. However, this is a delicate procedure , so do your detailed research before trying it.

If you don't have a fabric store in your area, you can order blackout cloth here. I ordered mine and they shipped the same day. It is only 5.95 a yard for 54" width and with shipping you could have a 54" x 72" screen for under $20 if you order 2 yards
