Have you guys noticed on the first page of atlantalightbulbs.com there is an add for the Ushio S400DD stating "Popular for homebrew DIY Projectors!"?
Too funny! |

Whats funny about it?
I was thinking of upgrading to a MH, (currently have a 400w halogen) and I read somehere that this was a good choice. Now you have me wondering.... Any insight would be extremely helpful Thanks... |

It was funny that the DIY Projector market was big enough for them to make up a small graphic for the first page of their site, that's all - it made me chuckle. Many people really like that bulb and it looks like a good choice for it's specs. I meant nothing bad about that bulb or the site.

Thanks for elaborating, I had come to the conlclusion that if I could in fact aquire this through my local supplier I would make the purchase.
Now I just need to weigh up the pro's and cons of the 250 vs the 400... |
