Default Lamp flickering,

Hey folks..

Start testing the new built projector and noticed that the bulb is flickering..
I have the EVC electronic ballast and the OSRAM HQI TS -250W

Any one else with the same setup expreriencing something similar?
or any clues what is causing it?

What kind of flickering? a heavy flicker when turning on, while its running ect, or a slight flicker after its warmed up?

It was a constant light flickering even after the warm up period.. but I replaced a couple of wire that seemed to be of a lesser gauge than and the ones coming of the ballast , and also went back and tighten all my connections (Thanks Hillbilly for the suggestion) and that seemed to take care the problem .. No more flickering

Now I need to fix the one dark corner problem that I have..
Maybe I sould rename the thread to PJ troubleshooting since it seems to be heading out that way.. lol
Thanks guys..

No probs mate glad you got it sorted :-)

Is the dark corner a lighting issue Diy101 or is it the actual LCD thats the problem here?

If it just the light not filling the corner purhaps check the allignment of your reflector, lamp & condenser lens to ensure both are dead centre in line with your LCD

Hope you get this sorted as quickly and effortlessly as the previous "hiccup" matey :-) All these little problems are part and parcel of the whole process though aren't they?!?, wouldn't be any fun if it all went smoothly straight off the bat now would it hehe

The LCD is ok .. I can see the image projected the right side is kinda dark especially the bottom right corner..

You are right all these are part of the process ... and probably I will be needing more allignement but I am also short in "Real Estate". I don't think I cam move it that much ..
On a second thought I might also try to place both Fresnels together behing the LCD and try to cheat the Light to LCD distance because I dont have 220 mm available now..

You think this might work ?

Hrmm...only one way to find out bud hehe...if it dont you may just have to find some more space LoL I would think it is more than liking caused by the lamp being to close to the LCD for sure though. Good luck with it matey :-)
