I have searched every where cause I thought someone might have had this issue?I have finished building my projector OHP with a 5 and half screen from portable DVD with anticipation plugged it in for a test run and
The text is back wards I have tried placing the panel every way imaginable to no avail. Its a 3M 920 projector with triplet lense. The text is actually backwards on the projector before it even hits the lens and mirror. If its flipped there is no image.I was told if I run it through PC I could reverse the text but the reason I got this is the fact you can plug in straight to the monitor out on TV and have TV or DVD playback.Plus my computer doesnt have A/V outputs. Am i doomed or maybe the rear pro option? Please Help. |

You should be able to flip the panel and get it to project. There must be a cable issue if you get no pic when you flip it. If that does not work (really should) then yes all you need to do isbounce the image off 1 mirror.

If you use no mirror, then you should be able to read the screen text upside-down from the lamp side of the LCD. If you use one mirror above the LCD, then you should be able to read the screen text upside-down looking down from the front of the projector. If you use two mirrors, then it is the same as no mirrors, etc.
The LCD should be bidirectional. No image means something is getting unplugged. |

You might have a bad cable, which you could replace for a few dollars. If it is an FFC (Flat Flex Cable), which looks like a printed circuit but on thick flexible plastic, then you might just have it in the socket so the contacts don't line up correctly. I had this problem with an FFC extender: All my colors were inverted, because there was a short or open in the cable-to-socket connection. I opened the socket, lined up the cable to go straight in, and then closed the socket. Works perfectly now!
So, what kind of cable is it? FFC or ribbon? How many conductors? What is the pitch spacing? |

Turn the screen around and it should work. Im Joking! Maybe it's turn the other way?
No thats not it. Watch it though a mirror on the other wall! Yeah! Getting warmer - having too much fun here. Seriously, as long as the LCD didnt get cracked or something it should still work. Make sure your connections are good and that the PCBoard hasnt grounded out on something with the moves. Good luck! |

Its been awhile cause i gave up after my last effort it was a ribbon by the way Guy so it went in the trash.I have been watching Ebay and trying to buy a projection panel to dodge this problem but they go for to much in my opinion Aus $80 upwards.Just won another portable DVD sucker for punishment haha bargain $20.I did notice when I had an image on the last one sometimes it would freeze is this the response time? That was running it through a DVD player. Also any tips on protecting the ribbon would be appreciated.
