There are two types of failure that could be discribed this way:

If the moving image freezes for a while but keeps the same color and brightness, then the DVD read function is failing. Could be a bad DVD or it could be a dodgy reader.

If the moving image freezes and then the colors fade out over a few seconds, then the controller or drivers have stopped running. Could be a bad connection in a cable, a cracked PCB, a bad chip, etc.

Its the first one Guy the image freezes momentarily but keeps same colour,brightness etc hooked up to a very old cheap DVD player at the time so that might explain it.

O.K much to the other halfs disgust haha I also won a Ovation 810 projection panel after winning the portable DVD player (which I will put back up for sale).Like most of the 810,s it hasnt got a power supply.Now I have looked through the forum and have managed to find out that an old PC power supply and a 5 pin din plug? from a electronic supplier but does anyone know whether there is a procedure been made up for assembling such plug?
