Question About OHP Light Globe.

hello,

for making a homemade projector out of a LCD monitor and a OHP

im going to get a 575w Metalhalide OHP and wondering wouldnt it be to bright and wash out the colours?

From what I've read, no. The LCD only transmits about 20% of the light and your OHP isn't tightly focused on your LCD (more loss than a custom tuned light engine) so you would probably get a nice picture that isn't washed out.
