I honestly do not know what to say. If what you got is in fact a fresnel, then you overpayed incredibly. $130 for a fresnel?? If you read around these forums, you will find out that you can get fresnels a lot cheaper than that.
Heck, you can even get a complete OHP on ebay for $25 and get the fresnel off of it. You can also find them on the web for $20-$40, and also several members here sell them..
Now, maybe the fresnel you got is ultra-high quality or something that would justify that price, I don't know. What's the focal length on it, anyway?

don't get the big tv fresnels, they are just page magnifiers (low quality fresnels). to find out the focal length you could focus the sun through the lens on the ground and measure how high you have it.
