Unhappy Nview Spectra C codes - needed

Hi there,

I have an nView Spectra C that I unsuccessfully and stupidly tried to calibrate with a Spectra Plus remote. However I realized too late that only some of the buttons on the Spectra C exist on the Plus remote. So now my image is way out of calibration and the only way I can get it back is with original C codes.

So here's a request/challenge for any Spectra C remote owner: If I mail you an IR-to-RS232 device and some software, will you "learn" the codes with the software and send them to me? You can even keep the IR-serial device and I'll pay for shipping. (I plan on "teaching" them to my learning remote from the computer). Alternately if you have a PDA or older laptop with an IR port, I could send you some software (Palm or PPC) to "Learn" the codes on that and you could send me the IR code database.

Plus I'll post instructions in the forums to learn and play back IR codes with just such a device (I'm using a JetEye IrDA adapter that works with raw IR) for other users' benefit.

Thanks!

brian

It would be easier if I sent you the Spectra C remote and you send it back when your done with it. Email me and we'll work it out.

Default Thanks!

It says here I can't send you an email because my posts are under moderation. Can you email me at brian#ostranenie.com? (substitute @ for #)
