Default tiny lcd monitors

hi everyone!new to the forum and hoping for great info and seeing what floats your boat. my inquiry is regarding the use of a small (1 to 2.5")screen to use as a monitor for a cd hard drive monitor.my plan is to have a few Niles keypads throughout my home to control my stereo equipment but i need to able to see the hard drives video output(composite) whilst i'm dialing up the song i'm chasing. the cd hard drive is a yamaha cdr hd1300.
i would probably want a least 2 screens in different rooms. the diplay information from the yamaha is very basic (i.e.white writing on a blue screen ala 1980's atari!!) so resolution(?) wouldn't need to be high-end just sufficient to read stark info from half a metre away. sorry for my vagueness and lack of technical knowledge!!!!!!!!!!!!regards, geoff

uh yea im cunfused ...... do you want a projector in each room ? or just the lcd its self ? and just to display song info ? and how big would you like the screen to be ? if youre projecting ... you can get a 60 " diagnal screen with a 5" psone lcd .... but you wont get that with a 2.5" lcd

i think any screen with a composite input would work. Resolution shouldnt be a problem, but you might want a larger screen than 2 inch. Small screens have small writing!

thanks guys! i've seen the lilliput screens on ebay but here in australia they are going to cost over $150 each i would still have to remove the screen from the enclosure to make it fit into a stardard size wall plate. i guess what i'm looking for is a raw panel that with the right information could be used with a composite feed. it will be purely a lcd monitor a not a projector set-up. thanks again, geoff
