Default Questions about a LCD and issues

I might eventually bid on a cheap LCD, it depends on hopefully any answers i gets here

The model is a Hansol 17" H711

http://www.aurora.se/hansol/hansol-711.htm

I've search for info about stripping issues and so on, but haven't found any. Your thoughts?

The bidder says the monitor dosen't ligthen up when he starts it. But you obviously can see a weak picture when windows is running.

The bidder says that the signal seems to allrigt, even if the lights dosen't work. The powerbutton has a stable light, and not changing from on/off which would be the case if it didn't had any contact with signals

Should i go for it? It's pretty cheap as a starting bid now

Thanks in advance...

That does sound like a backlight problem, which does not matter at all for an LCD projector.

The main issue with 17" LCDs is finding a projection lens that will work. lumenlab.com has one, but it is not cheap.
