Default Look at this.

This is insane! I don't want sellers to waste their time, but these idiots just paid $150 for damaged merchandise.

Has anyone else experienced this problem: when outputting 1280x800 to this monitor, the display shows up compressed, almost looking like a 4:3 ratio.

Changing the OSD (tried "fullscreen","normal", "horizontal strecth", "auto", etc) options doesn't seem to help.

It'll run at 1280x768 but is obviously interpolated (as mentioned in previous posts), so I'd love to get it running correctly in native.

Like Ben said earlier -- you probably have to define the display in PowerStrip.

I just bought the Proview from Futureshop for $249 Canadian, I'm going to put it in my box with the standard lenses and just squeeze the image until I get the pro lenses. I built my box big enough for it to fit.

I couldn't get a 1280x800 display initially when I swapped out monitors. It gave a soft image or went out of range even with selecting the correct monitor in the control panel and changing res settings etc.

I ended up installing XP onto a spare hd with the monitor connected from the begining and it now it looks great at 1280x800. Image is nice and sharp, A Bugs Life looked really good.

I had previously played my Xbox on my Mitsubishi Diamond Pro with the Vdigi adapter, the picture was awesome. The picture is definately a lot softer on the Proview- in " Normal " mode and obviously even softer at fullscreen.

For the people wanting to feed this panel via an HTPC with optimal picture quality, here are the Powerstrip timings that finally make the picture very sharp for me (this is the only way I would consider this to be watchable - with my gear anyway!):

PowerStrip timing parameters:
1280x800=1280,72,32,16,800,7,6,23,70159,2050

Generic timing details for 1280x800:
HFP=72 HSW=32 HBP=16 kHz=50 VFP=7 VSW=6 VBP=23 Hz=60

Linux modeline parameters:
"1280x800" 70.159 1280 1352 1384 1400 800 807 813 836 -hsync +vsync

P.S. Don't forget to push the 'auto' button on the monitor after.

Can someone explain those PowerStrip timings to me. I know how to set any resolution with PS but I'm not sure what those other numbers mean. Thanks
