Default Sharp QA-1650 vs. QA-1500

Hello all,
I am building my first setup and was wondering if that 1650's zoom to 800x600 was really worth it as it would cut off portions of the screen, or is there a work around for this? Or is it better if I just went with the 1500 for a lower pricetag without this zoom feature?
Thanx for any assistence

Jacob

I can't speak for that specific panel, but, I too have a panel that "compresses" 800 x 600. The only use that I have found for it is for using my Xbox in widescreen mode. The quality isn't really that great, and I wish that I would have bought a panel with at least 800 x 600 native.

no the specs are way different...the colors are garbage...the contrast ratio is garbage...and the responce time is shabby...if i were you i wouldnt get either...type in projector panel in ebay(so alot of people dont look there)and just find a panel with good specs and ask us just to make sure...that way you can get a panel thats way better than the qa-1500 and better than qa-1650 for cheaper than you can get either...just be patient...a good panel will come with time...

I've been looking at the following possibilities... Infocus PowerView 820, Sharp QA-1800, and an nView Z. Unfortunately, the seller does not know which verion in the Z series that it is, and it only says Z on the front, so I'm not sure on the specs on that one...
