Default Flex Cables?

Have any of you found a good vendor that sells flex cables? I still haven't opened up my Dell LCD to see what I need, but i would like to get some ideas of where to look for cables. Thanks.

loke33,

you could first try the various electronics outfits like
mouser, digi-key, allied, etc. if it is not a standard you
will need to contact the mfg like molex etc. often one
can get samples.

i have only used monitors where i have enough room to
move the boards out of the way. there are some folks
around here that have experience with the flat cables.

i hope you won't need one may want to wait until you know if it's
a problem. all the best, tony

Even though the lillyput is small it does not have the native resolution that most 15' lcd panels have...the lilliputs native resolution is 800x480...you can get a refurb. benq for a little bit more money and get a great image in return... but if size is everything go with a lilli...but if you want a better image stick with what you got, if it a good lcd...

Refurbished BenQ FP567s-v2

15.0" SXGA 1024 x 768
Screen Size: 15.0"
Response Time: 16ms
Pixel Pitch: 0.297mm
Contrast: 450:1
Brightness: 250 cd/m2
Integrated Speakers (2x 1W Speakers)
True Color Supported
Auto Scaling Function

and if you want to run it off your dvd, well then get a converter box...

Thanks,

Default been a while

been a while since i posted on here, but I am temporarily out of my apartment until i move into my new one on 8/3. Anyway, I have opened up the dell LCD I was questioning about and found that it has a toshiba controller board and I do need to extend the flex cable. I ordered the cable from JBC and when it gets here and when I get into my new apartment I will be posting a comprehensive guide with lots of pics on my projector. give me a month and I should have it all completed and posted. thanks for the help guys. Later.

Hey,

If you still have the fresnel lenses that will work with the 2001FP get up with me. I'm in the market and have one of the Dell monitors that had the backlights go out and have decided to use it in a projector.
