Default got me a new lcd

just purchased an lcd off ebay. not really anything special, but i couldnt beat the price.

Jinyoung TVO9VG-T

6.4", svga input
262,114 colors (i know its not the best, but i think it matches my spectra c)
250:1
40ms

ebay link

i wanted to get onboard with the whole minature projector thing, and my spectra c has a problem with it (cannot use a vga box with it, sorta long story), but i didnt have the money for a lilliput quite yet. however, this seems to be a decent starting panel. whatcha guys think? thanks

panel looks half decent...resolution is good for the size of the panel...colors could be better but the contrast is good...its a good buy for the price! but yesterday i got a good buy too 3m 6400 projection panel!

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...ME:B:EOAB:US:6

same price of yours! urs=better contrast ratio(mine 100:1 yours 250:1 )
mine=better colors(16.7)+resolution(640x480 native 800x600 compressed)

nice grab. i've been kinda looking for the fresh "buy it now" auctions. sometimes you can manage to snatch up a good buy without forking over the dough. you planning on using that on an ohp or gonna do a bit of stripping and using for the other type of setup?

yea, i got very lucky with the panel...im using ohp...seems like a good panel for use on ohp...i have an apollo concept 2250, 4000 lumens(ebay 100 shipped)...im not doing anymore stripping or enclosures because i dont wanna risk anymore panels...lol..

p.s-another good way to find cheap panels is to type in something like projector panel or overhead overlay...or even just overhead projector...not alot of people see it therefore its cheaper

well, got the new lcd and powered it up. its beautiful. also opened up the box and everything is pretty easily removed. the lcd uses a normal cable, so no need to worry about ripping up a ribbon cable. it has all the adjustments i could ask for (just about everything you'd find on a regular pc monitor). picture quality is very nice. played some gamecube and xbox through it and looked really good. now for step two......

gonna tear apart the cheapie apollo ohp that i own (dont worry, i've got a dukane 4003 thats gonna be left alone) to try out an inexpensive projector setup (like everyone's been doing with the lilliput). i know it wont be quite as nice without the copy lens everyone's using (and i may pick up one if i can find a decent one), but i'm trying to make use of what ive got around here for the first try. i'd hate to waste/break a bunch of new parts one my first go round.
