I stripped my lilliput, everything fine.

Had to move house.

Reconnected Lilliput and now I see Vertical Rainbow Stripes.

No menus, no OSD.

Anyone seen this?

yeah, i've seen this already.
first, be careful w that lil brown ribbon cable. maybe there ist the fault.( broken )
try to fix it w some scotch tape in the position its lays originally.
second. check the other ffc-cable on proper adjustment on the controller-board as well as on the lil pcb.
do not move the lil pcb as far as not unconditionally necessary.
hope that helps abit.

yes it was fixable coz the harm on the brown cable wasn't too hard.
where the brown cable is bent some cables were broken. under pressure of a sticky tape the contact came together and a picture was seeable. if you fix it this way, never touch it again ;-)

i understand,

stabilize the connnection between the lcd and the brown cable by taping the cable to the LCD.

and great work on your projector, i have been following it closely

i have a slight problem, i opened it up to look inside, took the 2 ribbons out, and the mains to the backlight,

i put it back together and now it dont work, i get power, it turns on, i can get audio through it played from my pc, but no picture, i can use the buttons on the front, but cant even bring the built in menu up, any ideas, i've just ordered a new ribbon, hoping its that,

I just dont know what can possibly be wrong with it,

@ the matza,

in case of no harm due to static discharge, try to adjust the ribbon( 40core) in the plugs. that often causes no picter. it is important that the ribbon ffc is right aligned w the according pins of the belonging plugs. it's abit tricky.
otherwise , i guess, you've sent it to infinity....

The small controller ribbon you mean, or the larger one which goes to screen,
