Default CMV 1515 in Disguise? I can't tell...

Saw this monitor and noticing it looks very similar to a CMV1515 and the model NEG A150X1 is the panel from the CMV1515; the NEG is for Nexgen Mediatech (http://www.nexgen.com.tw) I believe, but they don't seem to admit making this monitor (OEM relabel?), I can't find specs for it, but I figure you guys might be able to.

I see lotsa people looking for the CMV1515's - and I really want one, I'm willing to dish the cash (some anyway :P) but Circuit City won't ship to Canada, and shipping them in from Asia - as I've discovered is extremely pricey (for one piece, double the cost of the LCD). Alas, maybe this link will help some, but like I said, I'm not sure if this is the same, there are only hints - you can have a turn at detective - also I believe the MIR expires soon.

NEXGEN belongs to Chi Mei group. I think that after all, the A150X1 is just a monitor model, not a panel. However, none of the CMO panels have 15 ms RT and 16.7M colors, all 15" types list just 262K colors (www.cmo.com.tw). The CMV is Chinese company but belongs to the same group.

All A150X1 monitors have these specs:
White label A150X1 15"; 1024x768; 300:1; 220cd/m2; 30ms; MM

Here's one A150X1-T02 :

Yep, looks like the "White label" is a POS. :P

Regarding the model numbers.

The link to the CMO site was useful, but their LCD products listing is severely outdated, when availability is listed as years ago, the Simplified and Traditional Chinese versions appear to be more up to date but still quite outdated.

The pictures from the thread CMV1515 vs BenQ 581s suggest that the model of the monitor(CMV1515) is A150X1 (from the casing) but the PCB near the CMO logo appears to read A150X1-T01-S REV-A (possibly T02 - but I doubt it). The A150X1-T01 and A150X1-T02 have been seen as "white labels"

I'm curious if brainchild can confirm his numbers(PCB) are the same as LOOie's.

If only CMO updated once in a while :P

try,
www.umart.com.au
www.pcmarket.com.au
www.gamedude.com.au

they all sell the CMV1515 and with your Canadian $ vs our little Aussie battler, you might find it's still reasonably priced even with the extra shipping.

So is this CircuitCity LCD monitor a CMV1515 or 1512 ?
Is it worth buying ?
I just want an LCD monitor that is easy to take apart, and I hear the 1515 & 1512's are easy. So is this CircuitCity like one of these as far as taking it apart ?

search all this forum, they are easy but dont unfold completely without cracking. they are therfore best suited to a box design where the cuircuits on the sides can be on a wall at 90 degrees to the lcd. it is basically the best image.
read brainchild's and looie's posts and photos probably.

http://www.farassoo.com/CMV-1515.htm

the one you have there has some of the same casing, but some official pictures show a cmv with a square foot and different buttons. it may be an old picture as the lcd is at least 7 months in production...
i dunno. but 299 is a high price in america for this panel, it's wholesale price is under 225, see:

http://www.eechain.com/LCDSALE/index-product.asp?a=48
http://www.cmv.com.cn/production/image/1515%5B1%5D.jpg
possibly email braindude and looie to ask them because they both have one.

this panel is not good for ohp or i would have got one definately
