the yellow hue in the middle of the screen is actually the projector, not the globe.
I assume something has somehow been burnt... any ideas people? |

From what the www says, this has a 3-lcd panel optical system.
There will be a systen of mirrors &/or prisms to combine the 3 images before the projection lens. 2 possible causes I'm guessing: 1) something in the optics has become displaced - was the projector bumped? You might find a physical adjustment for gross convergence. 2) the convergence electronics has gone out of alignment. There is probably a service adjustment for this - some sort of menu accessible by entering the service mode. How you access the service mode I do not know - it could be by pressing an odd combination of buttons on the remote control - service manual would help a lot there. |

I got the second projector that I'd already paid for...
it also has red ghosting... after doing a bit of research, it became apparent, that this means the projector is completely f*cked and is nothing more than rubbish.. not happy... http://phorums.com.au/archive/index.php/t-42192.html |

Then you've nothing to lose by physically manipulating the position of the red or magenta lcd panel to get it into the right position
