Default LCD Display Problem

I'm brand new to this forum, so bear with me.

I purchased a Power Acoustick 5.6" LCD TFT monitor (car) from a guy off Ebay. It didn't come with the cables, so I modified a 4 pin mini DIN (mates with monitor) to terminate in a RCA plug for video and a positive / negative wires for 12 VDC.

I'm new to this game, but when I ohm'd out the pins two were common to one another, one was for power (+), and one for video. So that's the way I terminated the other end.

When I fired it up the screen is divided into thirds - left side is an adequate picture, right side is greyed out, and center has a 1.5" transparent line running from top to bottom.

Is this just a bad monitor or do I have something connected incorrectly????

Maybe a DC/black level problem. Try coupling the video signal through a capacitor (10uF or so to start with).
