Default High votages

Hi guys,as a newbie servicing LCD monitors I need to replace the caps on the power/inverter board on my AOC 17" LM721A TFT LCD monitor.
Is there any dangers re high voltage remaining on the boards that I should be aware of ?
I have built transmitters and receivers during my ham radio days and the usual DIY with computers and PSU's and video but this is my first look inside an LCD. Not much in there is there!
With any luck the caps will be all thats wrong although it looks pretty brown around one of the inverters nearby. The screen was working normally beween the on/off pointing to the caps on the power supply.
thanks in advance
