Default Ebay scam: ASK Impact 400 power supply

I just received a panel that I got on ebay but the seller did not include the power supply. I am in the process of trying to sort this out, but I was wondering if it is possible to get a power supply otherwise.

The panel is an ASK IMPACT 400. I saw this post here regarding the power supply for another model:
Ask Impact WSX Power Supply

And I found the specs for the 400 here:
http://www.askproxima.com/service/Im...ds/400engc.pdf

Does anybody know where I can purchase a power supply that will work or how to go about building one.

Thanks!

I got an email from the seller. They say they are willing to give me a refund if they can't find the power supply, I would like to keep it if I am able to get/make one myself.

Any help?

Default power supply

Hi,

Making a power supply would be quite easy, you could source a small transformer, or track down a small switched mode PSU. The voltages are very 'standard' so regulators in the required voltages can be had from just about anywhere, including radio shack.

Another option: I've had great results getting the small laptop style switched mode PSUs from my local fleamarket. I needed a few 16v/3 amp blocks, found 4 of them over a couple of weeks. My average price was ~$5. Takes some time, but it's kind of fun anyway.

...and of course you could ask ASK, they will have service replacements.

HTH

Stuart
