Greetings all. I am a music freak. I am also a longtime DIYer although never before with audio eqiupment. I was always of the opinion that music was in my head and not my equipment. I've lost myself in AM broadcasts of good music and scratchy records never detracted from my listening experience.
A few months ago however,I was playing a record and it seemed as though part of the music was missing, I listened closer and discovered it was there but very faint. It was a keyboard part I knew should be more pronounced. Anyway in tracking down the problem I began to wonder if there was other things that the composers or musicians wanted me to hear that I was missing because of bad stereo equipment. SO Now I'm here and beganing down an audiophile road. I'm still not sure I will be a true hifi audiophile but I'm willing to try. I am very happy to have found this diyaudio community. thanks for being here and thanks for having me ") |
