Default Hello!

Greetings Everyone,

My name is Robert and, after lurking in the shadows for a few weeks, I felt it was high time I introduced myself.

I have made one other post and it taught me the importance of using the search function properly !!!!

I became interested in DIY Audio after pricing the stuff that's out there today. There is no way I was going to able to have the quaility system I wanted at the prices they wanted.

I first became interested in tube sound, but veered into solid state and chip amps after much research. I like the idea of building my own stuff, not just the for the money saved, but also for the satisfaction of accomplishment.

Right now, I'm looking to build a couple of mono blocks with Briangt's boards. I was able to purchase a pair ESS AMT-4's that needed new foam edging. The guy had no idea what he had and sold them to me for $40!!!!

Speakers like these, I'm going to need something worthy to drive them, so Briangt's design was a natural choice. I've been collecting parts such as transformers and so on, so I hope to begin building soon.

I want to apologize in advance for the noob questions that I know I'll be pestering all of you with. Just be patient is all I ask.

Thanks again,

Robert
