Wait... thats not something I should be spreading around. Wait, yes it is. Its a good thing....
Hello everybody! I thought I should stop lurking and finally make a post. My name is Dan. And I make loudspeakers any other time I have off from work (Which is what funds my madness). From small ones to tall ones to a dual 10" subwoofer that managed to break the manhole in the hall.... Speaking of all that, I always have to many projects on the go. Atm, I think I have 6 or 7 pairs that need to be built. So yes.... hopefully I will get them built one day.... Maybe.... |

Hi, Dan, and welcome to the forum. I've got a pair of speakers that I started 20 years ago and they're still not done...

Hi Dan,
There are many with your interest on the forum here. Have a blast! Somehow your project list may expand. Is that a good thing? ![]() -Chris

Hi Dan and welcome to the forums. I like to build speakers as well, and while I don't have any 20 year old unfinished speakers, I still have a completed set from about 30 years ago that are still going strong in the garage.

Yes, Well I'm actually planning to start another project on the weekend. And to finish it too. Open baffle config, nice solid Tas Oak baffle is the plan, with an Adire Extremis or 2 and a CSS FR125S. Should be quick and easy. Well thats usually the plan, but how often does that work out....
Only been dabbling in it the last few years, full on DIY, its an absolute blast from the initial idea, to the planning to the feasibility to building and then to finally kicking back and listening. To either much disgust or a pleasant surprise or to just plain gob smacked with the sheer power and detail. |

OK that's sounds good. I would be interested in your results with the speakers. I have some of the same drivers that I'm tossing around some ideas. Take pics.

I can't hold your origins against you, after all I was born in Carlton, and after 30 years of travelling and working I came to rest not 10K's from where I was born.
Unfortunately we seem to share the same addiction, at least it keeps me off the streets at nite Welcome
