Hi!

I'm at the moment a neewbe to DIY audio. Have read many posts
and I am very impressed by the knowledge that the members have
here. I take my hat off to your nice atmosphere and knowledge!

Ok, I have been soldering these audio cables for ages,
starting with these DIN-5-connectors, and continuing with
XLR and tele jacks and also soldered a Velleman kit of a
RIAA amplifier.

So far the only thing where my mind had to think a little
bit more was when I made a conversion from 220 V AC to 9 V DC;
used the standard recipe: transformer, rectifier bridge, and
capacitors to reduce the ripple. Worked well with the turntable
mixer that I used it to.

Had ideas about projects but newer dedicated the time nor the effort to do it. The threshold have been a little bit to high, therefore
a portable headphone amplifier like the one Chu Moy described
(A Pocket Headphone Amplifier at headwize.com) suits me well.

Spent to many years in the university, but I'm finally out of there.
Living in the Stockholm area in Sweden, and looking for an engineering job where I can use my creativity.

Thanks for your very good community and I hope that I in the future
can add something to it.

Martin

Thank you Milan, for the nice welcoming message!

I saw your work on your page, although I didn't understand
the words nor the details of the schematics, I did understand the
photos. ;-)

Your GRIDMOX 1 and 2 (power conditioner's) especially draw my
attention, since I'm out in the field and do recordings once in a while.
At one recording session, I noticed a glitch in the audio signal
when I was back from the session. I could fix it in an audio
editor, but it would be good to have a power conditioner at
those moments, 'cause I think it was the origin of the glitch.
Maybe I will build one later on, but it's not first on my list.

With kind regards

Martin
