Default Greetings everyone

Hello from Alberta Canada! Well I'm a 51 year old guitar player who wants one of those boutique amplifiers but cannot see myself spending all that money. I studied electronics in the early 70's so I thought I would just build myself one. For pocket money while I was in school I used to fix tube radios and televisions. Of course you collect a lot of non repairable units; hence my small supply of tubes. I need to solve a bug in my design and I need help.

And while I'm at it maybe I can help someone with a problem. I used to do a lot of trouble shooting. There sure seems to be some very bright people here and I look forward to helping anyone if I can.

Southside. Is that the "old" part of town?

Edmonton is divided into a southside & a north side by the North Saskatchewan River (ignoring the now massive west end that has sprung up in the last 40 years.

Yes, I spent a couple of months stationed on Jasper avenue. I thought that the south was an older part of town and that the north and west areas are newer. No?

Gee! Thanks for the warm welcome!

Well as mentioned, the city is divided by the North Saskatchewn River. I have, for the most part lived on the southside as an adult. I grew up on a farm just East of the city. I was in a band many years ago and was the only one from the South side of Edmonton. The drummer said I needed a handle like Southside Johnny and the ??? so I got Southside Ronnie.

Thanks again for the warm welcome!
