Default Hi, everybody!

Hi, folks! One more newbie joined the crowd!
I really believe that your forum is one of the best places on the web related to sound.
I'm writing form Italy. I'm a musician (violin and viola) but I also work freelance as a translator from German to Italian and as an IT consultant (teacher particularly). I don't have many opportunities to speak and use English so I'm afraid my writing will be rather poor!
I'm planning to build some loudspeakers and I'm looking forward to posting some questions in that forum!
Thanks!

Welcome Luca,

Hope you enjoy your stay. We'll try to make it as pleasant as possible. And your English is excellent!

Luca, what part of Italy are you in?

It is easily my favorite country in the world (other than my own, of course )

Welcome to diyAudio Luca, and thanks for the compliments.

As I'm just brushing the MDF dust off me at the moment, I look forward to seeing someone else's work. Good to have you here.

Hi SY
I live in Northern Italy, near to Austria. The district is Trentino, in the middle of the Alps (no Blue Velvet here though...)
I actually live only 20 km far from Garda Lake, renowned for great landsapes, windsurfing and sailing.

Dear Pinkmouse, I have to say I prefer massive wood dust, but obviously no loudspeakers are involved...

Well, I think I've made my first mistake
I posted some questions in the Loudspeakers forum, the "Typical Newbie First Post" I fear... I know that there isn't anybody grasping for the keyboard on purpose to reply me, but I hoped I could receive some answers...

Welcome Luca,

Sounds like you have an interesting life. What type of speakers were you planning to build?

Regards,
Jeff

Hi vinylkid,
well, this will be my first build, I was looking at some projects at Troels G.'s site, the ones with Seals Excels seemed very exciting but pretty expensive as well
I think I'll begin with a pair of Proac Clones and have experience
Have a nice day, everybody
