Default Hi

Hi, I'm mark. I've been playing with Hi Fi for over 20 years. I love my music! My son and I both play guitar and my daughter plays piano. My wife is very tolerant!
My background is in mechanical engineering and I have designed and built a number of ‘high-end’ turntables and speakers. At first just for fun, and then for friends, and then people want to pay me, and then I have to make more and it is not fun! So now I make only the occasional turntable (To try new materials and methods) and I'm looking to advance my knowledge of electronics. Especially the new digital amps.

I'm currently looking at going ‘active’ and using the Audiodigit T100 8 channel amp to tri amp my speakers.

Hi Mark, You should have fun. This place has grown enormously over the last few years. I imagine you've visited here before so you'll know that your work will be apprciated and you should get you Q's answered. Greetings from Australia. I've lived here for nearly 50 years now but originaly came from the West Country. I'd like to get over your way some time and catch up with people I've met in this forum. You might think about posting your T/table details in the "Analogue" section. They'll love it, Regards, Jonathan

Default Thanks

Thanks for the welcome. It is a bit difficult for me at the moment to use the computer as I can't type because of injury! So I use voice recognition software, which is very good, when it is working, but slow.

Wow! That turntable is beautiful. If any of my projects turned out half as good as that, I would have a wife that actually LIKES my hobby!

Welcome...

Mark
