Well, I'm Bill and I'm from Frederick Maryland. I LOVE good clean sound! I've never built any audio equipment myself, though I am a bit of a do-it-yourself type, hence the Protouring442 name. I am in the process of building a 72 442 convertible. Lots of fun and too much money!
My home system is a Sansui AU-D9 integrated amp with a Heathkit EQ and ESS AMT3 Rock Monitors, but with replacement woofers and mids. The replacement speakers were just chosen for their ability to fit in the holes, though I have to admit that they seemed to improve the sound quite a bit. Really tightened the bass up... Wish I knew why! So, that's me... I hope to learn alot here, so please don't mock my ignorance! |

Hi Bill,
Welcome! 442's are fun, fun, fun! The "A" pillars seem to come straight for your head on that year. Cool car! I think you'll find answers to most of your questions here. Unfortunately what follows are - .... - more questions! -Chris |

Hi Bill and welcome to the forums. Lots of good people here, a diy haven if you will.
Shiny side up? What happens if you don't have a shiny side? I like to think of it as rubber side down. |
