Just wanted to say Hi as a new member. I've browsed through many times and thought that it was time to join up!

Hi spock,
Welcome to DIY. Thanks for registering. I'm northwest of the big smoke. Get much snow today? -Chris |

Thanks for the welcome. Not a lot of snow, but a nasty mixed bag of freezing rain, ice pellets and heavy, wet snow. Fortunatley, my neighbour is a landscaper who, like most, plows snow in winter. He came to the rescue of my back.

Hi spock,
Lucky you. One of my neighbours isn't a very nice person, the other is smart and we don't see them until spring. Same for us really. So, what are your interests? -Chris |

Well Chris, mostly audio I guess. I play a little golf; used to play twice a week, but that has dropped off alot in the past couple of years. I like to tweak things like my preamp and my speaks. Also build things like speaks and iso transformers. I make my own cables as well, although usually from someone elses recipie. A whole lot cheaper than "botique". My Aunt and Uncle live just outside of Georgetown. Come to think of it, I haven't seen them in a couple of years. Man, that's bad.

I'd say, and it's so nice and quiet here too!
Come visit them after the main street farmer's market opens in June on a Saturday morning. Take a stroll if that's your cup of tea. It's too snowy now to drive and enjoy it. I think you'll OD on audio at DIY, enjoy! -Chris Edit: We have golf courses here. I don't play, and I'm really bad. |
